Operating Temperature Range Of Industrial Sponges
Feb 03, 2026| Industrial sponge is a porous material that, depending on its specific composition and manufacturing process, can be classified into various types, such as polyurethane sponge, rubber sponge, PVC sponge, and PE sponge.
Polyurethane Sponge: This is the most widely used type of sponge material, finding applications across numerous fields including industry, construction, and home furnishings. Its operating temperature range is -30°C to 100°C; however, it lacks high-temperature resistance and is prone to melting or deforming at temperatures exceeding 100°C.
Rubber Sponge: This material exhibits excellent elasticity and compressive strength, enabling it to withstand significant heavy loads. Its operating temperature range is -50°C to 150°C; however, it is not resistant to oil and possesses poor resistance to acids and alkalis.
PVC Sponge: This material features relatively low manufacturing costs and an operating temperature range of -20°C to 80°C; however, it is flammable and therefore unsuitable for use in high-temperature environments.
PE Sponge: This material is lightweight, soft, and environmentally friendly; however, it has a relatively narrow operating temperature range, typically spanning from -50°C to 70°C.
